Today, three impressive factoids about Ozone. First, what is a Factoid?
Well, synonyms are: factlet, trivia, snippet or tidbit.
The original 1973 meaning: An invented fact; something that looks or sounds like a fact but is actually false.
Today's modern meaning: A short, fun, or trivial nugget of true information.
So, I think I'll go with the second definition...
- Ozone has been around as long as the earth has existed! So, what is it? Simply put, it is activated Oxygen, and it protects us from the harmful effects of UV sunrays.
- Ozone (O3) is heavier than Oxygen (O2). It falls down through the atmosphere back to the earth. While it falls down to earth, it purifies & sterilizes surrounding air. It takes care of bacteria, moulds, fungi and other harmful organisms by decomposing them.
- Even though Ozone has been around a long time, Physicians have only known of its health benefits for about 70 years. Modern technology now makes its wonderful health benefits available to us today.
